Tim Tam's and Tea with Sumi

My good friend Sumi Henry stays in Perth, Australia and she came back here for a short and HOT holiday. Sumi loved the heat she says (GILA!) Of course we were all excited at the thought of seeing here again. We had organised tea last week but only a few of us could make it.

Back row from left: My BFF Nazlin, SISTAs Sherie, Oleen and Suzana. Seated is me, Sumi and Sophie.

We met at Grand City in PJ and had a nice spread of tosai, karipap, vadir and roti tissue. Most drinks had ice in them due to the heat.

The best part about this tea was the surprise Sumi brought out from her bag. It was was Tim Tam's and mind you, the one from Australia tastes very different from the one in Indonesia. Sumi showed us how to eat it the Aussie way and let me tell you, try it once and you are hooked!
All you need is a hot drink, coffee is best it seems, and the Tim Tam. Sumi liked the double coated one as it adds to the yumminess. Now this is how you do it. You have to bite off one corner at each end. So the bitten corners are across each other. Then you dip one bitten corner in the hot drink (just dunk the corner in, not the whole biscuit) and suck the hot drink through the other bitten corner. Then you enjoy the Tim Tam. The hot drink will melt the insides of the Tim Tam ... and its all gooey and suckles in your mouth. I can taste it as I speak.
See how satisfied we all look after the food and Tim Tam's. Good to see you again Sumi!
